Profile of Control Components

Control Components Pty Limited (ABN 24 080 175 293), incorporated in Sept 1997, is owned and operated by the directors who each have over 30 years experience in the Controls Industry. Both spent nearly 25 of these working for Honeywell in Australia in sales, product management, marketing and senior management roles.

The portfolio of suppliers is and will remain intentionally small with the emphasis on continuing strong relationships, increasing focus and greater attention to promoting the full range. The company operating philosophy is as a branch office of the principals. Implementing the marketing and promotional programs of the 'head office', albeit modified as required to meet the needs 'Downunder'.

Customers
Control Components' focus is on the broad promotion of its product lines to users, contractors, dealers and manufacturers. Direct sales are generally limited to Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) and Distributors.

Logistics
Local inventory is maintained, in the facilities of Bell Total Logistics and those of their associates in Australia and New Zealand. Sales orders are shipped direct from the warehouse nearest the customer, for shortest possible delivery. Warehouse locations are at:

International freight is handled by Kamino International Transport Group, locally represented by Bells, who also handle the customs brokerage. Consolidation at Kamino locations in Zurich CH and Chicago USA, again support efficient shipments into Australia. This single supplier approach streamlines the importing process to minimize duplication and delays. Urgent local or international courier deliveries, from our suppliers, into other capital cities, within or outside Australia, are standard procedure.

Localisation of Products
* Local assembly of Weka 34000 series magnetic level indicators began in August 1998. Locally designed 64000 ABS indicators have been in the range since Oct 1998. Further extensions to the range made locally have been planned. * Besta float extension rods are fabricated or modified locally to meet specific application needs as requested by customers. * * Other modifications to meet local requirements will be evaluated and implemented either locally or at the factory, as appropriate.

Local Product Repair / Service
Control Components has agreements with local repair organizations, to provide local support, however where more cost effective or expedient, controls are shipped back to the overseas manufacturer for repair.

Distributors and Resellers
Distributors are appointed because of their demonstrated capacity and interest to provide local inventory and customer support. Quantity and type will depend upon customer feedback, available market, geographical coverage, competition etc.

Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM)
OEMs are normally handled direct to ensure the communication and support process is as expedient as possible. When necessary, Control Components will act as Manufacturers' Representative on behalf of our principals, to be competitive with other worldwide suppliers.
